Vivo Raises Prices on V70 and Y-Series Phones in India

Vivo has raised prices for V70 and Y-Series smartphones in India due to component shortages.

Vivo Increases Prices of V70 Series and Y-Series Smartphones in India

Smartphone brands continue to raise prices in recent months. The global shortage of memory components drives this trend, mainly due to high demand from data centres. Vivo has now become the latest company to revise prices for several popular models.

The revisions affect the Vivo V70, Vivo V70 Elite, Vivo Y21, and Vivo Y400. Price hikes range from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 4,000 depending on the model and storage variant.

Revised Pricing Details

The Vivo V70 Elite 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model now costs Rs. 58,999. It previously sold for Rs. 54,999. Meanwhile, the 12GB + 256GB variant has increased from Rs. 59,999 to Rs. 63,999.

The standard Vivo V70 also became more expensive. Its 8GB + 256GB version now retails at Rs. 53,999, up from Rs. 49,999. The 12GB + 256GB model rose from Rs. 53,999 to Rs. 56,999.

In the Y-series, the Vivo Y21 6GB + 128GB variant now costs Rs. 21,999. This reflects a Rs. 1,000 increase from its earlier price of Rs. 20,999.

The Vivo Y400 saw one of the steeper hikes. The 8GB + 128GB model now sells for Rs. 31,999, up from Rs. 28,999. Similarly, the 8GB + 256GB version increased from Rs. 31,999 to Rs. 34,999.

Background and Current Status

Vivo has already updated the prices on its official website. However, the company has not issued any official statement on the revision.

This latest change follows a similar round of hikes in May. At that time, Vivo increased prices for models including the V70 Elite and Y400.

Industry experts link these increases to rising component costs worldwide. Consumers may face higher prices across more brands in the coming months.

Vivo continues to offer strong mid-range and premium options despite the revisions. Buyers should check the latest prices directly on the official website before making a purchase.
