Apple Plans to Refresh Mac Studio with Powerful M5 Ultra Chip This Year
Apple is preparing a fresh update for its compact workstation. The company last refreshed the Mac Studio with M3 Ultra and M4 Max processors in March 2025. Now, new details suggest bigger upgrades ahead.
According to reliable sources, Apple is working on two new models. The tech giant plans to launch the first upgraded version with a high-end M5 Ultra chip later this year. Moreover, another model with an even more powerful M7 Ultra processor may arrive in 2028. However, Apple has not officially confirmed these plans yet.
The company also aims to make internal improvements. Engineers may add a better heat sink for improved cooling. This change will support demanding on-device AI tasks. Interestingly, Apple might keep the external design the same as before.
