OnePlus 16 Leaks Hint at Major Upgrades
OnePlus 16 is expected to launch in China next month. The brand has not confirmed the date yet, but leaks continue to reveal key details.
Tipster Digital Chat Station claims the phone will feature BOE’s next‑generation oriental screen. It could support a 165Hz refresh rate, promising smoother gaming. The OnePlus 15 also carried a BOE AMOLED panel with the same refresh rate.
The upcoming flagship is tipped to run on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. It may pack a massive 9,000mAh battery. Reports also suggest a 200‑megapixel telephoto camera.
Further, the device is said to ship with ColorOS 17 based on Android 17. The new skin could bring fresh animations and system‑level improvements.
Earlier leaks pointed to OnePlus working with BOE to customise X4 light‑emitting material for the display. The company’s general manager in China had already confirmed that the OnePlus 16 will debut in the second half of this year with enhanced gaming features.
Expected Price
The OnePlus 16 may launch in September at CNY 4,999 (around ₹71,000) for the 8GB + 256GB variant.
