Lava will launch the Virat V1 Pro 5G in India later this month. This model expands the company’s new Virat smartphone series. The phone will go on sale through Flipkart. Lava has not announced the price yet.
The company released the Virat V1 4G and Virat V1 5G last month. A fresh report now shares more details about the upcoming Pro model. Another Virat-series phone is also in development.
Lava confirmed the launch date in an official post on X. The company will unveil the Virat V1 Pro 5G at 12 pm IST on August 24. It has not shared the full specifications or pricing so far.
A PassionateGeekz report lists several expected features. The phone should carry a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD screen. The panel offers 1600×720 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It is likely to use a Unisoc T8200 chipset. That processor has an octa-core CPU that reaches 2.3 GHz. A Mali-G57 MC2 GPU handles graphics.
Lava may offer 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM. Storage is expected to stay at 128 GB. A microSD card could add up to 1 TB of extra space.
The rear camera setup is tipped to include a 50-megapixel AI dual sensor. Details about the front camera remain unknown. The report does not mention battery size. It does note support for 18 W charging.
The Virat V1 Pro 5G should run Android 16. It will support 5G networks. Other connections include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB Type-C port. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is also expected. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor should handle unlocking.
The phone may weigh 196 grams. Its thickness is listed at 8.2 mm. An IP54 rating should protect it from dust and light splashes.
This model is expected to sit above the current Virat V1 5G. The existing 5G version uses the same Unisoc T8200 chipset. It has a 6,000 mAh battery and a 90 Hz display. The 4G variant comes with a 5,000 mAh battery and the same 90 Hz screen.
Lava is also working on the Virat Curve 5G. That phone appeared in the GSMA IMEI database under model number LXX529. The name hints at a curved display. The company has not confirmed the design, specs or launch date.
The Curve 5G is expected to support 5G. It could target the affordable mid-range segment. Official hardware details and availability dates are still missing.
The Virat lineup now includes the launched V1 4G and V1 5G models. The V1 Pro 5G and Curve 5G will join them soon.
