Sony Launches Premium 1000X The Collexion Headphones
Sony has introduced a new flagship wireless headphone to celebrate 10 years of its popular 1000X series. The Sony 1000X The Collexion combines advanced noise cancellation with premium design and upgraded sound quality. The company positions it as the most luxurious model in the lineup yet.
The headphones feature a redesigned chassis, high-quality materials, and improved audio tuning. Moreover, they support spatial audio and LDAC codec for superior listening experience. Sony also released a fresh Sandstone colour option for the existing WH-1000XM6 model.
Premium Design and Comfort
Sony crafted the 1000X The Collexion with premium vegan leather, metal accents, and hand-polished finishes. The headphones weigh around 320g and include a wider cushioned headband along with redesigned earcups. As a result, they deliver excellent comfort during long listening sessions.
Powerful Sound and Smart Features
The new model uses custom 30mm dynamic drivers with a high-rigidity carbon composite dome. This setup improves instrument separation, vocal clarity, and high-frequency details.
Additionally, it becomes the first Sony headphone to feature DSEE Ultimate technology. This Edge AI system restores lost details in compressed music files in real time. Users can also enjoy 360 Reality Audio with three dedicated modes for Music, Cinema, and Games. They can easily switch modes using a physical button on the headphones.
The device carries forward the excellent active noise cancellation system from the WH-1000XM6. It uses 12 microphones and Adaptive NC Optimiser that automatically adjusts to the surrounding environment.
Battery Life and Connectivity
Sony claims up to 24 hours of playback with noise cancellation turned on. The battery extends to 32 hours when ANC is off. Furthermore, the headphones support Bluetooth 6.0, multipoint connectivity, and multiple codecs including LDAC, AAC, and LC3.
Pricing and Availability
Sony priced the 1000X The Collexion at $649.99 (roughly Rs. 63,000) in the US and CAD 849.99 (about Rs. 59,800) in Canada. The headphones are available in Platinum and Black colour options.
