Honda CB500 Launches in India from Rs. 2.75 Lakh
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the CB500. Prices start at Rs. 2.75 lakh, ex-showroom Bengaluru. The neo-retro motorcycle comes in three variants. Bookings are open at Honda BigWing dealerships.
The range includes Alloy, Spoke, and Spoke with Stripe versions. The Alloy model costs Rs. 2.75 lakh. The Spoke model costs Rs. 2,99,900. The Spoke with Stripe model costs Rs. 3,01,900. The versions differ mainly in wheels, colours, and graphics.
The Spoke variant uses cross-spoke tubeless wheels. The Stripe version adds extra colour and graphic treatments. Honda is building the bike in India. That local production helps the company hold pricing even with 40 percent GST on motorcycles above 350cc.
A new 501cc single-cylinder engine powers the CB500. The motor uses air and oil cooling. Output is about 28 hp and 43.3 Nm of peak torque.
The bike gives Honda a new 500cc option. That space has been relatively open in India since Royal Enfield ended its 500cc UCE models in 2020. The CB500 sits above Honda’s CB350 range.
Modern equipment comes with the retro look. All three variants get Honda Selectable Torque Control, a slipper clutch, an analogue-digital console, and Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity.
Honda first showed the CB500 in India in July 2026. Rivals include the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and BSA Gold Star 650. Royal Enfield’s 650 twins currently start at Rs. 3.38 lakh, ex-showroom Chennai. Deliveries are expected to follow after bookings at BigWing stores.
