Google Fitbit Air Launches in India as Company’s First Screen-Free Fitness Tracker
Google has launched the Fitbit Air in India, bringing its first screen-free fitness tracker to the country. The wearable was previously showcased during the Made by Google event and is designed for users who want health tracking without the distractions of a display.
The Google Fitbit Air is priced at Rs. 13,999 and will go on sale starting October 2. Buyers can choose from four color options: Obsidian, Berry, Lavender, and Fog.
To attract new users, Google is also offering a three-month trial of Google Health Premium. The subscription includes access to guided wellness tools and personalized coaching features.
Unlike traditional smartwatches, the Fitbit Air does not feature a screen. Instead, Google focuses on continuous health monitoring while reducing interruptions from notifications and alerts.
The fitness tracker comes with several health-focused features. These include continuous heart rate tracking, heart rhythm monitoring with AFib alerts, blood oxygen measurement through an SpO2 sensor, heart rate variability tracking, and resting heart rate monitoring.
In addition, the device supports sleep tracking. Users can monitor sleep stages and overall sleep duration to gain better insights into their daily recovery patterns.
For fitness enthusiasts, Fitbit Air offers automatic activity detection. Users can also manually log workouts when needed. Furthermore, the device supports guided exercise sessions through Google Health Coach.
Battery life is another key highlight. According to Google, the tracker can run for up to a week on a single charge. Moreover, just five minutes of charging can provide enough power for an entire day of use.
The Fitbit Air will be available through the Google Store, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, and other authorized retail partners across India. Customers can also take advantage of cashback offers on select bank cards and no-cost EMI plans.
With its lightweight design, health-focused features, and screen-free approach, the Fitbit Air targets users looking for a simpler wearable experience while maintaining access to detailed fitness and wellness tracking.
