DJI Launches New Romo Robot Vacuum and Mop Series in China
DJI has introduced its latest AI-powered robot cleaners in China. The new Romo series includes two models: Romo P2 and Romo A2. These smart devices combine strong suction with advanced cleaning features.
The robots use AI for intelligent object recognition. As a result, they detect and avoid obstacles effectively. Moreover, both models come with a 123-degree swinging robotic arm. This arm reaches deep into corners and tight spaces around furniture.
In addition, the Romo P2 and Romo A2 deliver powerful 36,000 Pa suction. They also feature 8.5 cm dynamic adaptive mechanical feet. These feet help the robots climb over obstacles up to 8.5 cm high without difficulty.
Furthermore, the cleaners include a high-temperature self-cleaning base station. This station uses 80-degree Celsius hot water and high pressure. Consequently, users enjoy almost hands-free maintenance throughout the year.
Next, the robots offer Millimetre-Level Obstacle Avoidance 2.0 technology. They combine a new area-array speckle projection lidar system with vision sensors and ToF technology. This setup identifies furniture and obstacles in real time with high accuracy.
The devices also have a built-in dust indicator light. This light covers a 2,000 cm² area and helps users spot hidden dust in corners and under furniture.
Pricing and Availability
The DJI Romo P2 starts at CNY 5,999 (about Rs. 84,000). On the other hand, the Romo A2 begins at CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 77,000). Both models are now available for purchase in China through DJI’s official website and JD.com.
Finally, these disc-shaped robots come with convenient charging docks. With their AI features and strong performance, the Romo P2 and A2 aim to make home cleaning easier and more efficient for users. DJI continues to strengthen its position in the smart home robotics market with this launch.
